Black Wins Again transforms the timeless chessboard into a metaphor for power, money, and influence. Executed in white, black, and gold, the composition reflects the tension between opposing forces — light and shadow, strategy and dominance. The symbolic chess figures suggest a world where ambition often overpowers innocence, and the darker forces seem to prevail.

Yet the painting invites reflection: every move is a choice. It challenges the viewer to reconsider the rules of the game and to consciously "play for the white." Part of the Spirit collection, this contemporary symbolic abstract embodies philosophical depth and modern social commentary within a refined aesthetic structure.

Inspiration behind the painting: Sometimes life happens on the same old board where black and white play. In a game related to gold, silver, information, and power… The situation is very worrying for whites. I painted this work quite spontaneously, the pieces appearing on the canvas as if by themselves. While for the world the most important are power and money, black wins again. Will we allow the game of the world to be decided solely by greed and power? Will we allow this for the world of our children?
